Here are some more musicians who's music we love. Please click on the pictures to enjoy the music
Loved to have brought these stars of the folk, country & acoustic music scene to Milverton but never mind, click on the image, sit back & enjoy.
Richard Thompson : - A truly legendary singer song-writer. He played The Trowbridge festival to a packed marquee of around 5000 devotes. It was an awesome concert by one of the great talents of the 60's folk revival.

Alan Jackson : - One of my favourite country singer song-writers. His songs are unashamedly true country and have some wonderful tunes. Not managed to see him live but here's hoping to see him when he is next over in the UK.
Steeleye Span : - We were playing at the Laycock folk festival in Wiltshire back in 1973 and this band were topping the bill. Met them several times afterwards at various gigs. A great bunch of musicians who like us all, look a tad older now.

Silver Street Band
Fairport Convention : - They are still playing great music and their own festival at Cropredy always sells out. Many of the folk scenes big names have passed through this band, each leaving behind a little musical stardust. Fairport have always adapted to the times but remained true to their folk roots. I still love the original line up with Sandy Denny.

Kate Rusby: - Played many times for us at the Trowbridge festival. Kate is a consummate performer and brilliant singer. We would love to bring her to Milverton with her husband Damien O'Kane (he played Milverton in 2006). So watch this space you never know!
Strawbs: - First saw Dave Cousins doing a solo gig at a folk club in Bath in the late 60's. He was in a band then called The Strawberry Hill Boys. 'The Strawbs' archetypal 'Grave New World' album has always been a favourite of mine. Sadly the commercial success of 'Part of the union' didn't reflect their true song writing skills.
Eddi Reader and John Douglas
Judy Collins: - We saw Judy Collins at The Wickham Festival in 2019. Wow can that lady, still sing. On stage for 90 mins, just her, a guitar and a pianist. She was brilliant, all the songs we love plus some great anecdotes from her colourful career.
